Frogs, Toads and Newts!
Did you know that there are more than 4,700 species of frogs alone? They range from the goliath frog that is the size of a large cat to tiny Paedophryne amanuensis, which is the size of a pea. Some frogs glow in the dark, some have fantastic rainbow colourings, and some look like leaves or blobs of goo! Some frogs even have special skin that can help us develop new medicines. Many of these creatures have habitats that are no bigger than a playground, which means that there are new species being discovered all the time that need to be studied, protected, and loved!
Synchronicity Earth https://www.synchronicityearth.org/ helps scientists learn more about these amazing animals – and their cousins the toads, salamanders, newts and worm-like caecilians – and their homes, working together with people from many different countries ensure that their fabulous diversity continues to thrive.
Little Sharers https://www.littlesharers.com/ is thrilled to support the Amphibians diversity project.
